Coral Tree Cafe
17499 Ventura Blvd
Encino, CA 91316
Accessible?:

The Political Action Committee recommends resolutions and legislation to the DPSFV Executive Board. All members of DPSFV affiliated clubs are welcome and become voting members the second time you come to a meeting within six months. We meet each month on the fourth Tuesday.

If you want to suggest a resolution, it must be submitted to the co-chairs by one week before the meeting (so that would be the third Tuesday). Resolutions must fit on one page; they have have up to three whereas clauses to provide background and justification; and they have up to two resolved clauses that state what DPSFV will do (not just what we want someone else to do).

If you want to suggest legislation to support or oppose, the deadline to submit to the co-chairs is the same. Please submit a paragraph summarizing the bill and a paragraph on why we should take the suggested position.

Judicial Forum

Democratic Alliance for Action
Thursday, April 24, 2014 - 9:00pm
Vincenzo's Pizza
24504 Lyons Avenue
Newhall, CA 91321
Accessible?:
Yes

Who are the best candidates for judge? Come decide for yourself at a judicial forum hosted by The Democratic Alliance for Action. All of the candidates for Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge who are registered Democrats have been invited to attend. Thirteen of them have already confirmed! Because the judges will serve all of Los Angeles County, all the candidates will appear on the ballot in June.

Each candidate will have two minutes to introduce her/himself followed by a moderated question and answer forum. For many of you, this is the only time you will get to hear from judicial candidates you will be asked to vote on in the June election.

Additionally, new officers for the 2014 - 2016 term will be installed. The new officers are Kristin Ingram-Worthman, President, Evan Koplin, Recording Secretary, Malcolm Blue, Corresponding Secretary, and John Anderson, Treasurer.

The meeting will be on Thursday, April 24th at Vincezo's Pizza in Newhall at 7:00 PM. The address is 24504 Lyons Avenue, right off the 5 freeway in the mini-mall between the two gas stations.

Doors open at 5:45 PM. Come early to eat dinner and socialize. Be sure to sign in at the check in table. All Democrats are welcome! For more information, please call (661)309-4322.
