In 2010 we need to protect the Democratic gains while defending the values we hold dear. We must elect a Democratic Governor along with all of the state-wide officers. We need to make gains in State Senate and Assembly seats, will have Congressional seats to win and defend and keep Barbara Boxer’s seat in the Senate.

We would like to invite you to help ensure a victory in 2010 by joining Club 2010, TODAY. You will make a big difference toward helping us fund our campaign office in 2010.

You may sign up for an automatic recurring contribution of $20.10 (or any amount from $5 on up!) between now and the November 2010 election. And, you can change the contribution amount, or cancel it altogether, at any time.

Of course, you can sign up for a one time donation of any size also.
Just think, for the price of one dinner per month, you can reinforce our victories from 2008, and help pave the way for continued change in 2010.

Please read below for a recap of what we accomplished in 2008 and why we need your support!

The Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley (DPSFV) has operated a Democratic Campaign Headquarters for the Valley and surrounding areas for many years and will do so in 2010!

The results at our 2008 Campaign Headquarters were remarkable:
• 1,390 volunteers gave nearly 18,000 hours
• Our activists made more than 400,000 personal phone calls to voters locally and around the country supporting the entire Democratic ticket
• Our volunteers put door hangers on 30,000 doors and monitored more than 100 polling places on Election Day
• It was the largest and most productive Democratic office in the entire State of California!

Even though our office is staffed by volunteers, opening and operating a large office isn't cheap: rent, phone lines, office supplies, refreshments, literature, buttons--it all adds up. For example, we spent $50 per month each for 100 phones and then there is the rent for temporary office space!

We get no funding from the National, State or Local party! Because of campaign finance law, DPSFV relies heavily on funds from individuals like you to pay for the bulk of the costs of the headquarters.

And, those fabulous volunteers need your financial support to make the 2010 Campaign Headquarters the most successful in our 30 year history! We are counting on your help.
