Our guest will be Robert Nakahiro, a great and engaging speaker and the Vice Chair for Region 3 of the Los Angeles Democratic Central Committee. Robert will discuss how the Democratic Party of Los Angeles (LACDP) is organized, how the LACDP relates to the State Party and how our Club fits into the overall organization. It's a "California Democratic Party 101" evening. We are also going to ask Robert to describe how one can be elected as a delegate to the state convention as well as to a national convention. As a special treat, our club will host a mini-performance by some of the cast members of BUSH IS BAD - THE MUSICAL, now playing at the NoHo Arts Center through mid-May. The musical numbers include such songs as "How Can 59 Million People Be So Dumb?" This is the premiere of the show in Los Angeles and follows a hugely successful 15-month run at New York City's Triad Theatre. So--plan to attend the April 25th meeting: it will be filled with great information and possibly some great moments of music and satire. | ||
