Our special guest for the October Book Club meeting will be actor and author Mike Farrell who will be talking about his book,Just Call Me Mike: A Journey to Actor and Activist.

Best known for his eight years on M*A*S*H and five seasons on "Providence," Mike Farrell is also a writer, director and producer. Farrell has served on human rights and peace delegations to many countries around the world. As President of Death Penalty Focus, he speaks, writes, and coordinates efforts to stop executions.

Valley Democrats are invited to go “over the hill” into Santa Clarita for the Democratic Club of the Santa Clarita Valley’s Casino Night fundraiser and salsa dancing soíree!

$35 is the buy-in fee and gets you food and a couple drinks. For the gambler in you, we’ll have tables for Blackjack and Texas Hold’em. First place winner gets the $100 prize and second and third place winners will receive special prizes.

Even if you don’t gamble, come on over and shake the night away. Starting at 8 p.m. we’ll have salsa dancing for those that want to move on their feet to salsa tunes. If any one into politics can dance, you know it’s Democrats!
