Valley Grassroots for Democracy Book Club

Please join us on January 9 for our January Book Club meeting featuring The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court by Jeffrey Toobin.

Please plan to arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 to order your meal and be prepared for a lively discussion. Everyone is invited to join us and participate in the discussion whether or not you have read the book.

2008 Plans and February's Props!

The Burbank Dems begin only our second full year in existence with this regular meeting: Time to sound off on what you want for 2008 and the elections, AND for more high-visibility and civic local projects in the Burbank area. For this special early-month meeting date, on a Thursday, club goals for the busy new year will be set from among those offered by the Executive Board after its annual brainstorming session in December. Kickoff The New Year With Valley Dems United

With our goal to elect a Democrat to the White House on November 2, it’s time to organize, strategize and energize.

So, join Valley Dems United on Tuesday January 15th, 7:00 PM as we hold a “Democracy in the Round” freewheeling discussion of the Propositions on the February ballot and all of the races.

Bring your informed opinion and an open mind.

Presidential Candidates Forum
Start: 7:00 pm
End: 9:00 pm

Join us at our regularly scheduled meeting to hear representatives from the candidates for the Democratic Party's nomination for President. The candidate's representatives will have the opportunity to respond to questions from the audience after their initial presentation. We have issued invitations to the campaigns of Clinton, Dodd, Edwards, Gravel, Kucinich, Obama and Richardson; hopefully all will be represented at the meeting.
The meeting is open to the public at no charge and there is plenty of parking available.
