DPSFV Dems are Invited to Wear Flack Jackets
and HELP Turn SANTA CLARITA BLUE
I’m sick and tired of having five Republicans running the City of Santa Clarita. The Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley, the Democratic Alliance for Action of Santa Clarita and many other Democratic organizations have endorsed both Diane Trautman and Maria Gutzeit the (the only Democrats running) for the two available seats.
Although the election takes place on April 8, the absentee ballots go out on March 10, and absentee ballots make up 61% of the vote. That means the next two weeks are the most important for getting people to vote for these very qualified candidates – and your support is needed and appreciated.
You can walk or call for either candidate or contact the Democratic Neighbors of the 38th AD to work for both campaigns and even get on board for the upcoming June Primary and November General Election. If we can get 100 additional Democrats working on the city council election over the next two weeks, we have a good chance of taking away the Republican monopoly on Santa Clarita City Council.

"Uncounted" is the recently released documentary film about our past error-laden elections and what needs to be done to ensure accurate vote counts in November. The film exposes the real threat to the heart of our democratic principles, the right for every vote to count!
"This film documents deliberate cheating by Diebold, an Ohio manufacturer of voting machines, and other problems around the country where honest tallies were falsified."
A speaker will be available after the showing to answer questions and lead discussion. Don't miss this presentation about a topic which affects voters throughout the United States!
Agenda to include:
- Hearing from Candidates for the 23rd Senate District Race
- Discussion of Propositions. 98 and 99 (Very important and quite deceiving titles).
- Local County Committee Candidates
All of these items will then come to an endorsement vote.*

We are all concerned with the body blows that have pummeled our Constitution under the GOP regime, so come join the Burbank Democratic Club in Burbank on Thursday, March 27 to hear and talk with Marshall Croddy, program director of the L.A.-based Constitutional Rights Foundation. The CRF is the non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization whose many activities include sponsoring the Mock Trial competition and state History Day in schools.
This month's regular BDC meeting also includes a look at state propositions 98 and 99 on the June 3 primary ballot, and our ongoing voter reg and election support plans. For more, see www.burbankdemocraticclub.com or call 818-288-2649.
