If you missed the tri-club picnic in May, here’s you chance for more good Democratic outdoor chow and outstanding ideas—this month’s Burbank Democratic Club meeting is a backyard barbecue and a “What’s on Your Mind?” session to gear up for the 2008 election. It’s all at the friendly home of our political action chair, Kevin Harrop.
As always, all Democrats are welcome, members or not. Aside from our recurring sound-off session, the club will also vote on a post-primary endorsement of Barack Obama for president as well as a death penalty resolution being circulated in California.
We’ll also take a specific look at what you can do on any level and time scale to get involved in electing Democrats this fall, locally and under the DP-SFV banner. For starters, we’ll be joining in on the Democrats’ booth at the annual Glendale Cruise Night downtown car show there July 19. But a lot more campaign events big and small are waiting, as we will hear Thursday.
See you July 26! Hopefully it won’t be as HOT as the picnic in May!

The Democratic Alliance for Action of Santa Clarita (DAA) is pleased to introduce the next State Senator from the 19th district, Democrat, Hannah-Beth Jackson. She will talk about her positions and priorities, as well as her campaign plans and take questions from the audience. The 19th Senate District encompasses approximately 30% of the voters in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Also featured at this important meeting, will be updates on our voter registration campaign, various ongoing and November campaigns, and THE SCV DEMOCRATIC HEADQUARTERS. (a vote to expend funds for the headquarters will take place)
