Please come to our San Fernando Valley Town Hall Meeting. This will be a chance for Congressman Sherman to hear your views on health care, the economy, taxes, education, and all of the issues facing Congress. The
event, parking and refreshments are free.

Dear Friends:
It is an honor to serve you in the United States Congress.
My chief priority is to get our economy moving again, so there are quality jobs in the San Fernando Valley.
There are more good ideas in the Valley than in Washington. I hope you will share your ideas with me. Please write, email or visit my webpage and register your views on our Federal Issues Questionnaire. I also hope you will join me at our Valley Town Hall Meeting on February 21.

Valley Grassroots' March endorsement meeting will take place on Sunday, March 14, starting at 9:30 am, and will take place at the CSUN Grand Salon. Members must be signed in by 10:00 in order to vote.

We moved our meeting to this date because of better availability of the candidates and because DPSFV will be holding a statewide candidates forum in the same location in the afternoon. We'll have refreshments in the morning and order out for lunch.

We have invited all of the Democratic candidates for our local races and expect most of them to attend. Come and listen to what they have to say and then vote on our club's endorsement in the upcoming election.

The Grand Salon is located on the campus of Cal State Northridge near parking lot G4 on Zelzah Ave, north of Nordhoff. Parking is $5 all day and can be purchased at the automated kiosks once you park. We will have signs guiding you to the room.

SCOPE, the SCV Fair Elections Committee and Democratic Neighbors of the 38th AD invite you to a fund raiser to watch an important, award winning film about how activists in Robert Redford's home town fought back when developers attempted to take over their community.

In “The Unforeseen,” 2007 Sundance Film Festival Winner, an ambitious developer sets out to transform thousands of acres of pristine hill country around Austin, Texas into a suburban development. The community fights back. In the conflict that ensues, we see the very struggle between development and preservation, between the destruction of the natural world and an often fleeting dream, that is playing out today in the Santa Clarita Valley.
