Hear the author of "The People's Guide to the US Constitution" in Burbank
What would it be like to live in a country where everyone read and understood the U.S. Constitution? That's the question that Dave Kluge of L.A., a former corporate VP and employee trainer, asked himself—and thus began the project that ended up 212 pages later as "“The People’s Guide to the U.S. Constitution.”
Kluige is the November guest of the Burbank Dems, and afterward will have books to sign and sell (check out www.dkluge.com). Praised by reviewers, the in-depth but easy-to-read book from Action Publishing covers the Constitution, Bill of Rights and all other amendments, the debates about its adoption, and the Declaration of Independence.
For more, call 818-288-2649 or check the club’s website at www.burbankdemocraticclub.com.
After Kluge, members will also get a look at club and election plans for 2008, hear about the ongoing voter registration project around town, and catch up on the recent censure move re: U.S. Sen. Diane Feinstein.
