About Lt. Col. Charlie Brown: The son of a World War II veteran, Charlie read an article about the Air Force in the Saturday Evening Post at age 13 and knew he wanted to be a pilot. In 1972, Charlie graduated from the Air Force Academy and began a 26 year Air Force career, during which he was involved in every major U.S. military conflict from Vietnam to Desert Storm. Charlie debuted on the DCCC’s exclusive Red to Blue program, was selected as a DFA “All Star” candidate, and has been endorsed by the Iraq and Afghanistan veteran’s group VoteVets.org and the independent group IndependentMovement.org.
